Ice Cream company seeks a Shop Manager for our Wesley Chapel Shops at Wiregrass location. Reporting to the Owner, the Shop Manager guides a team of 10-12 team members in peak season, leading with a singular focus on sharing the best possible ice cream experience with the world. An ideal candidate brings a mixture of self-motivation and love of collaboration, constantly strives to improve processes for better outcomes, and a passion both for craft food and beverage and sharing that with their team and their community.
General Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, secure, hygienic, and organized environment by following Health Code, ServSafe standards, and company guidelines
- Uphold brand and product standards across cleanliness, service, and presentation
- Lead by example in hospitality, cleanliness, and team communication
- Serve as a point of contact for coworkers and guests to resolve questions and provide guidance
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences through engaging service and product knowledge
- Stay proactive in driving sales through specials, promotions, and evaluating offerings
- The Customer is a priority, scooping ice cream when needed is an essential
Team Management
- Hire, onboard, train, and schedule staff; conduct terminations and performance reviews as needed
- Collaborate with DOO and finance teams to meet budget goals and manage monthly P&L
- Coordinate weekly payroll and ensure administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time
- Maintain open communication with the team; accommodate time-off requests and ensure coverage
Operational Duties
- Oversee inventory management, reporting regularly and monthly
- Place orders for supplies and food items
- Enforce cash handling policies, including weekly deposit runs and register support
- Monitor and maintain equipment through scheduled preventative maintenance
Guest Services
- Guide guests on flavors and ingredients, considering allergy concerns
- Ensure monthly/seasonal specials are current and well-prepared
- Communicate promotions and updates clearly across the retail team
- Engage guests in conversation and share brand stories/history
Sales Growth & Marketing Initiatives
- Take a proactive role in generating new business, extending outreach beyond walk-in traffic
- Strategically utilize social media platforms—Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube—to showcase products, highlight specials, and engage with the local community through creative content
- Produce and share behind-the-scenes videos, flavor features, team spotlights, and interactive posts to strengthen brand identity and attract followers
- Collaborate with the retail team to brainstorm seasonal campaigns, loyalty programs, and limited-time offers
- Organize and promote pop-up events, community collaborations, and cross-promotions with local businesses
- Analyze engagement metrics and sales data to evaluate marketing effectiveness and refine strategy
- Represent the shop as a brand ambassador online and offline, driving excitement and awareness in unique, energetic ways
Physical & Scheduling Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
- Open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs (50 lbs with a partner) and stand for a minimum of 4 hours
